This Higher Diploma in Pensions Management is designed for those who work closely with pension schemes and retirement planning, either as advisors, consultants, registered administrators, trustees, human resources, tax and finance managers, employees of insurance companies and investment management firms.

Provides learners with comprehensive knowledge and competence relating to pensions and retirement planning, including pensions legislation, taxation, insurance and investment, longterm financing, regulation and government policy.

The course also develops the employees’ softer skills in the areas of communication, written and oral, active listening, relationship management, problem solving and business awareness.

The IIPM Law and Governance Programme for Trustees offers trustees the insights and understanding required to carry out their roles effectively. Touching on the many aspects of pension schemes, the programme will focus on the building blocks for implementing good scheme governance and risk management.  This course is one of only two recognised as fulfilling the now mandatory trustee educational requirement.

The course offers an opportunity for Associates of the Institute who have successfully completed the Higher Diploma in Pensions Management (Griffith College) to become Qualified Pension Trustees and to meet the Appropriate Qualification requirement specified in the Pensions Authority’s Code of Practice for Trustees. Building on what you have learned in your Diploma journey, the course will help you to apply your learning and experience to the challenges facing scheme trustees and to think and act as a trustee ought.
